The Things that Mask Fear
Perfectionism is not an asset. It’s fear.
People pleasing is not kindness. It’s fear.
Procrastination is not motivating. It’s fear.
Overworking is not a badge of honor. It’s fear.
Hustling for your self-worth isn’t logical. It’s fear.
Catastrophizing isn’t protective. It’s fear.
Fear that other people won’t like you.
That you will be rejected.
That you will fail.
That you will be judged.
That you can’t handle hard things.
That others will believe you are not enough of something or too much of something.
Which all boils down to:
Fear that YOU won’t like YOU.
Fear that you will reject you.
Fear that you can’t trust you.
Fear that you will judge you.
Fear that you are not enough or too much.
Fear that you aren’t worthy just as you are.
Here’s what I know though.
You can have your own back no matter what.
You can love yourself without abandon or condition.
You can trust yourself completely to handle what comes.
You can fully believe that you are enough just as you are.
Because you are enough.
You always have been and always will be.
